Layout - 7th Grade

Hello!  Here is a page I just completed inspired by a Two Peas in a Bucket challenge.

Scrap Your Stash A Boy Collection

And here is my layout:

I used mostly Fancy Pants Trendsetter products, with some My Minds Eye enamel dots, Studio Calico wood veneer stars (which I colored black with some Black Soot Distress Ink), and I can't remember who made the gray paper I printed my journaling on :(  I think Elle's Studio?  I think.  Dang, I don't remember.  I really like it too.  Anyway, I really like journaling in a list format, it is so much easier for me to record info in a list format on my layouts.

Thanks for looking!

A couple of layouts

Hello!  I just thought I'd post a couple of layouts I've finished recently.  Both of them were inspired by Two Peas in a Bucket videos.

Seeing Double Love Daddy

And here are my pages:

For the top layout (my daughter's school picture) I used mostly Fancy Pants Trend Setter products. I love the dark blue with polka dots tag!  On the bottom layout (my son and I out to lunch) I had really wanted to use the Studio Calico stitched pockets, and those two Two Peas in a Bucket exclusive flair.  I love their flair because they're flatter than most other flair I've bought in the past.  They come just flat with no adhesive, unlike so many other brands that come with foam adhesive that makes it stick up a little too much for my taste.  I like to use just one or two glue dots with the flat back flair.  Of course I could just rip off the foam adhesive on other brand's flair.  Ok, that's all I had to share for today, thanks for looking!

She Is 9 - Two Peas Challenge

Hi there!  I am loving the Two Peas in a Bucket Garden Girl challenges!  Here is my latest layout for the In The Mood To Scrap - Photo Tags + Banners.

Find the challenge here:  In The Mood To Scrap - Photo Tags + Banners

And here is my layout:

I used mostly Elle's Studio and Chic Tags products.  I had never bought their products before, and I wanted to try some out.  I used a Hero Arts tag die to cut out the two white with blue polka dots tags that are in my banner.  The paper I used was the packaging insert for the Chic Tags I used on this page.  Gotta love recycling product packaging!  I kind of wish I had used my enamel dots a little differently.  I'm not super pleased with their placement, but I can live with it.  Also was happy to use up a couple stickers from a really really old Pink Paislee sticker sheet (the small section of border sticker in the bottom left corner, and the No. sticker up near the title).  I chose the Elle's Studio paper as my background because the yellow paper with those pointed ovals reminded me of candle flames, and I thought that was perfect for birthday cake pictures!

Ok, thanks for looking!

Pattern Picking Part 1 Challenge

Hi there!  Just a quick post of a layout I created for Glitter Girls Pattern Picking Part 1 Challenge, found on Two Peas in a Bucket.

Check out the challenge here: Pattern Picking Part 1

And here is my layout.

I used mostly Crate Paper Maggie Holmes and BasicGrey Mint Julep papers, plus Two Peas star paper clips and Studio Calico wood veneer stars.

Chalk Art Festival 2013

Hello!  Here is a layout I created for another Two Peas class challenge.

The link: Seeing Double - You Are Awesome

And here is my layout:

The challenge was to create a page (or card) using small embellishments and NO patterned paper.  I used washi tape (My Minds Eye and Bella Blvd), Studio Calico wood veneers, Simple Stories Sn@p, My Minds Eye labels, Dear Lizzy labels, really old 7Gypsies word stickers, misc brads, My Minds Eye enamel dots, and Two Peas exclusive star paper clips.  This is not my usual style, but I do like how the whole thing turned out.  I think I will try something like this again in the future.  And I love love love the star paper clips!

BOBW Challenge - Stack of Punched Pieces

Hi there!  This is my last layout for today that I have made for Shimelle Laine's Best of Both Worlds blog challenges, this being for the challenge Scrapbooking With A Stack Of Punched Pieces.

Here is the link:
Stack of Punched Pieces challenge

And here is my layout:

I really liked Shimelle's layout with the banner pieces at the bottom, so I decided to create something similar.  Also, while punching my pieces, I've decided I need a bigger variety of punches!  I really like the Fiskars squeeze punches, and I have two, and now I think I'd like some more :)  All the patterned paper is My Minds Eye My Girl, as well as the enamel dots (which I'm now down to just two dots in the package, which is sad, I want some more!).  Title stickers are Simple Stories Sn@p, and I think the twine is Doodlebug.

I will continue to work on more of the challenges throughout this coming week!  I really have enjoyed the challenges, they sure get me motivated to create more layouts :)  Thanks for looking!

BOBW Challenge - Scrapbooking In Triplicate

Hi!  I created this layout for Shimelle Laine's Best of Both Worlds blog challenge Scrapbooking In Triplicate.

Here's the challenge:
Scrapbooking In Triplicate

And here is the layout I created for this challenge:

So, my "triplicates" are:  three photos (I know the challenge was to use embellishments in triplicate, but I just wanted to point out I have three photos, too!), three spots using yellow (the title, the border at the bottom of the photos, and the date label, which doesn't look that bright in real life, it actually matches the other yellows a little more closely), three round stickers with an enamel dot in the center, three groups of three stars, and three spots with word stickers.  Products used are Simple Stories, My Minds Eye, Cosmo Cricket, Bella Blvd, Crate Paper, and Studio Calico.

So far I'm pretty happy I got so much scrapbooking done this weekend!  If I wasn't trying to create layouts for the Best of Both Worlds blog challenges I'd probably not get this much done in one weekend.  So I really enjoy the motivation these challenges provide me.  Thanks for looking!

BOBW Challenge - Flexible Template

Hi!  I created this next layout using Noell Hyman's flexible template, per Shimelle Laine's Best of Both Worlds blog challenge.

Check that out here:
Flexible Template

For this layout I mostly used Simple Stories papers and letter stickers, some 7Gypsies, Crate Paper and Jenni Bowlin stickers, and Studio Calico wood veneers.  I really need to learn how to use some sort of photo editing software, because I had trouble getting the colors true to life with this layout picture.  The yellow "d" and "c" are really not that bright in real life.  The rest of the colors are mostly right.  If I didn't increase the brightness at all the whole layout was too dark.  But I think this is ok, for now, until I learn how to use Photoshop.

Thanks for looking!

BOBW Challenge - So Many Stickers

Whoohoo, I finished another layout for Shimelle Laine's Best of Both Worlds blog challenge!  This layout I created for the So Many Stickers challenge:

So Many Stickers Challenge

This challenge was definitely harder for me than the 3x4 journaling card challenge.  I don't really use many stickers on my layouts.  It's not that I don't like them, I just can't seem to use them in a way that looks good.  So on this layout I really forced myself to go all out with the stickers!  All the stickers, and the journaling cards, are from Echo Park Sweet Girl, the title stickers are Simple Stories Sn@p, and some patterned paper and enamel dots are from My Minds Eye My Girl.  Even though I'll probably never create another layout with this many stickers ever again, I do like how it all turned out.  This story was something I had wanted to document, and when I saw the bird and the tree stickers on the Echo Park Sweet Girl sticker sheet, I knew it was meant to be!  Thanks for looking!

BOBW Challenge - Scrapbooking With 3x4 Cards

Hi!  This weekend I decided I'm going to try really hard to create a couple of layouts for Shimelle Laine's "Best of Both Worlds" blog challenges.  Honestly this is probably all I'll get done, but at least I got one done!  I just really wanted to play along.  I think Shimelle is pretty darn awesome, I love watching her videos.

Check out her blog:

This is the challenge I created this layout for:

And here is the layout I created for this challenge:

The cards I used are from My Minds Eye Unforgettable collection.  I also used some Dear Lizzy and Simple Stories products to finish up the page.  Thanks for looking!
